Dr. Emmanuel Tachie-Obeng is a Principal Programme Officer of Ghana Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) National Focal Point on Climate Change Education, Training and Public Awareness. He is currently the National UN CC:Learn Coordinator of Ghana and Technical Advisor of the Adaptation Fund Project. He is a Lloyd’s African Scholar of University of Oxford, England and START Fellow of University of Cape Town in South Africa.
He has a Bachelor of Science degree from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology Ghana, Master of Science degree from University of Oxford and a sandwich Ph.D. degree (Climate Change Adaptation) from University of Ghana and University of Cape Town, and first at EPA, to be officially awarded a PhD. He initiated the EPA One-House-Tree-Project in Ghana to help reduce global warming and fight against climate change. An Elsevier and other peer-review publisher, with a book on LAMBERT Academic publication on climate change observations, impacts and adaptation options. He is blessed with a wife (Mrs. Lydia Hackman Obeng) and four children: Fosuah, Obenewaa, Asuah and Aso.
